For a really long time, my brain was basically the operating system for my businesses. Did we order cups? Who counted inventory? Is something broken? Did anyone follow up on the repair? Are we out of something? Did the cash get counted? Does the manager know?
And if I didn't remember to ask, sometimes nobody did.
After more than a decade of running multiple shops, I realized I wasn't bad at delegating. We were missing a system.
Small business owners already have plenty of software — POS, scheduling, payroll, email, group chats, spreadsheets, notes, clipboards, texts, and approximately 400 passwords. The problem is all the tiny stuff that lives between those systems. The stuff somebody still has to remember.
That's where DeskPanther came from.

I wanted one place where my team could handle the everyday operational things that used to live in my head, a group chat, a clipboard behind the register, or a text someone forgot to answer. Inventory counts, orders, out-of-stocks, repairs, cash drops, time clock fixes, store updates — the boring little things that aren't actually little when you're responsible for multiple locations.
I built it because I needed it
I'm not building DeskPanther because I woke up one day and thought the world needed another SaaS company. I'm building it because I needed it in my own stores.
I still run shops. I still have employees. I still deal with the same random problems other independent food and beverage owners deal with every day. Now when something annoys me operationally, instead of thinking there has to be an easier way to do this, I can actually build the easier way.
DeskPanther isn't supposed to run your business for you. It's supposed to stop you from having to be the system holding everything together.
Because your brain has better things to do.
Mine does too.
